Icing Of the Cupcake - My Favourite
What comes to your mind when you hear about cupcakes? Most of us imagine it's just a small muffin with whipped cream on top. Well, if thats how it is , i must say it is so much more than that. To me that one bite of cupcake is the royal feeling of being in heaven,the exotic flavours of the muffin with the icing , it gives me a great pleasure ,and the cupcake is working a magic in me cause when i have one it rides to a world of fantasies and ofcourse there is a change brought in mind , with peace and joy around and may be thats the reason why cupcakes are also calld as fairy cakes in some countries. Goans are very fond of cupcakes as one can see cupcakes as part of deserts at every occasion like christmas,birthdays, etc.
I am a great fan of cupcakes and i can surely say there are many others around the world who are fans of cupcakes too and i have some facts about cupcakes to share as i feel fans of cupcakes should increase as its worth it :Cupcakes actually very healthy, and when eaten with moderation they are also full of energy.Vanilla one of the most used flavour to make cupcakes acts as a stress buster and also cupcakes seem to be very helpful to women especially in easing the discomfort in pain during the menstruation. Also from the health point of view cupcakes contain eggs which have substance called choline which helps to maintain brain and also inflammatory properties in it.
It is said that cakes have been named on the way their ingredients have been measured and since ingredients of the small sized cakes were measured in cups it is named as Cupcake.And here is the secret to bake the fairy cakes at your home.Happy Baking
Servings: 24 Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup salted butter softened
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup buttermilk room temperature
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to cream the butter, vegetable oil, and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
- Add in flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until just combined. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to make sure everything gets mixed in.
- Fill each cupcake liner half full. Bake at 350 for 14 to 18 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove cupcakes from pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting with your favorite frosting
