THE BEST WATERFALLS AND SPRINGS OF GOA Explore all the waterfalls in Goa including some of the hidden ones. Situated perfectly on the wetter side of the western ghats, and receiving quite heavy annual rainfall, the state of Goa is blessed with numerous springs and waterfalls, some running throughout the year and some providing chilled water solely in the monsoon and few months aftermath. The west of Goa is known for its its beaches whereas the more secluded villages in the east are home to gigantic waterfalls that hide inside the lush woods of the mhadei sanctuary. This waterfalls are pristine and you might be rewarded with beautiful caves and huge old trees that might strain your neck. Hivre waterfall This is the biggest waterfall in Goa, originating from river Mahadei and located in Valpoi.
