Why should you visit Goa right NOW?
Top Reasons to book a trip to Goa
For those who have never been to Goa but have widely heard about it, you guys very well know how excited they all sound about it, right? From telling you hours of experiences to having a relaxed holiday, people from all corners of the world come to Goa for one exclusive reason: the sunny weather and the economical alcohol rates.
These 2 keypoints drive traffic in Goa more than the amount at Cortalim Junction (one of the frequent traffic jams location in Goa).
Coming straight to the point: it is highly unlikely that any youth from India, particularly from South India would not have Goa in their bucket list! This is because of the vivid history of Goa. They were ruled by the Portuguese, unlike India which were ruled by the French!
The Portuguese customs and traditions were all not forgotten when the Portuguese army retreated back to its country, giving Goa its liberation. The tradition was still alive among the inhabitants and they cherished it very well. The robust architecture was not annihilated but

Secondly, what Goa offers galore is the peaceful breeze and silver sands to relax yourself from the hassle and enjoy the soothing Arabian Sea. Some people sit at the beach all day long, from dusk till dawn! They have the English breakfast offered by some of the best shacks in Goa, such as Roger's, followed by crispy fish fried for lunch and sum it up with alcohol and chakna( assortments).
The best time to be in Goa is post the monsoons, because all the lush waterfalls and springs come to life with abundant water. Tourists usually flock to Goa well after the month of November, so it's an ideal time to visit Goa during October if you want to circumvent the traffic misery.
I love trekking the woods to new abandoned lush waterfalls. When the first charter flight arrives, usually during the last week of October, the passengers are welcomed heartily by the Tourism Department at the airport with garlands and music, signalling the commencement of the holiday season time.
If you are a non-vegetarian, you are in for a treat in Goa with most of the locals open to all kinds of meat product, including beef and pork. What's crazy is that there is more to that listing including Wild Boar, Bat, Wild Cat, Rabbit, Crocodile, frog (a.k.a the jumping chicken) etc. The list goes on!! But what dominates the food market is the craving for fish. Everyday, the Goans eat fish!! Sole fish, prawns and kingfish are among the favorites.
My personal favorite is sole fish with beer - usually Budweiser. An Amazing combo! You will see many youth opting for this fish for the right reasons. It compliments your drink beautifully.
For some, Goa is more of a desi Las Vegas, if you know what I mean? You have tons of off-shore casinos, let alone the on-shore ones in resorts and five star hotels. Also, the 1900 hippie lifestyle must have become antiquated, with regards to the clothing and appearance, but the rave parties and open markets still live on. The weekend parties in some of the clubs and open grounds are massive.
My all-time favourite reason to visit Goa is because of the people; the strangers that turned into family and their compassionate and love. You would find everybody to be helpful. That's in their genes, I suppose. You will find almost majority of the teenagers graduating from a hospitality and hotel management line and dedicating their careers to working in hotels and international cruise ships. That being said, if you ever need anything whilst in Goa, just ask anybody (who you genuinely think was born in Goa) for help, and nobody will turn you away.
