Life - that most wonderful journey..

The meaning of Life- A message of hope

The word 'journey' evokes in me memories of childhood joys - picnics, tours, outings, visits to different places and people - which always had a positive effect on my life and added to the collection of memoirs down the years.

"The true joy of life is the trip..." says Robert J. Hastings and i totally agree with him, because if we are conscious of it, we will know that each day we are journeying into the voyage of our lives, being enriched by the experiences, learning from the people we come across, enjoying different scenarios and growing through all that we experience- the good as well as all that is not so good.

"The trail is the thing, not the end of the trail. Travel too fast and you miss all you are traveling for..."  are words of Louis L'Amour for whom too, life seems to have been a journey from the past flowing into the present and towards the better future.

In a certain way we humans are like a tortoise, carrying out home with us wherever we go. When we are e our own best friend, we need not to be worry about the negatives and rejection that keeps showing up from time to time to time. They are meant to teach us lessons of life. We need not burden ourselves with these experiences instead need to overcome and move on. Get the kid inside you  picking up treasures along the way, our lives could be beautiful, if we learn to store up the joys,the little miracles that happen each day, the gleanings from the wise ones we meet or the fleeting touch of the divine in our moments of ecstasy.

Let's not take our destination as place but a new way of seeing things,as we continue to walk on the we at marked out for us. According to Guy Gabriel Kay, " There are no wrong turns, only paths we had not known we had to walk". And when we come to the final end of our journey,  we will experience John Bingham's words, " It was being a runner that mattered, not how fast or how far i could run". The joy is in the act of running and in the journey, let alone the destination.
