GOA is a perfect getaway location for everybody residing in India. The famous beaches and the distinctive nightlife of Goa make it an ideal hotspot for the youth and couples alike to spend their vacation here.

 Now, the toughest choice during any vacation is the decision for choosing a place to stay. It depends on various factors including budget, location, attractions nearby, etc. I, too, faced a similar dilemma,, not knowing where to set my ground when I decided to visit Goa. I had all my itinerary sorted out - the only thing remaining was the most important aspect: deciding a place to crash for the length of the stay.

 So, I decided to inquire with one of my closest friends - because I was short of time to search a listing on the web and since he had recently come back from Goa - where he resided during his entire stay. He told me he had been knowing this couple from Goa who owns some apartments and rooms and give it for rent at an economical price. That statement right there got me. I wanted to do away with the resort stays as they are exorbitantly priced. Anybody in their right minds will know that nobody has the time to use the resort luxuries as most of the time is spent on the beaches and other attractions. Hence, I decided to try out this new rental place for a change. I had a telephonic conversation with the owner to book my dates for the best double bedroom apartment they have. He was very polite and articulate.

 I arrived in Goa in the first week of December and took the prepaid taxi to the place I had chosen to stay with my family for a month. It was almost a 30-minute drive but the beautiful scenery keeps us mesmerized throughout the journey. On arrival at the ELVA MANSION, we were greeted by the host, Mr Pedro Silva (definitely of Portuguese origin) and his wife. They volunteered to carry our bags to our rooms.

 The rooms were beautifully painted and lit having private bathrooms and balconies. They had provided us with all the amenities like the utensils and towels, bedsheets. There was a big open space in the front yard for parking. There was hot water available throughout the day. The mattresses were very comfortable and soft. There are a plethora of beautiful places to check nearby. The Margao market is thronged by a crowd of different origins as it is the best place to shop for local spices and artefacts. Colva beach was within a mile from the apartment and the Benaulim beach is even closer. The best feature about the location of Elva Mansion is that it is located at the hub of all the major attractions in Goa. You can easily visit Palolem, Agonda, Old Goa, Panjim, and other major places of interest without having to relocate yourself. The host, Mr Peter is very cordial and will suggest you the best restaurants and places. They also provided us with complimentary meals on several occasions that really lifted up our spirits. The home-food was so delectable and pleasant.
